Mark Wahlberg has not only invested his own hard-earned cash into the F45 training franchise, but also swears by the workouts too.

On Tuesday, the actor was his own best advertisement as he showed off his ripped physique while visiting an F45 studio in Woolloomooloo, Sydney.

The 49-year-old flaunted his bulging biceps in a tight black T-shirt as he stopped by the studio in the early hours of the morning to help train clients, including the likes of cricket WAG Candice Warner and model twins Jordan and Zac Stenmark.

The Hollywood superstar, who is known for films including The Fighter and Ted, sported a black T-shirt and grey trackpants. 

Mark teamed the look with a F45 cap, colourful trainers and wore a face mask amid the coronavirus pandemic. 

Inside the gym, Mark helped motivate guests as they worked up a sweat.

F45 refers to the 45 minute high-intensity, circuit training workout class that studio members undertake.

It was reported in March last year that Mark had bought a minority stake in the gym chain with his company, the Mark Wahlberg Investment Group, and FOD Capital.

The deal for F45, which was founded in Sydney in 2012, is valued at roughly $450million, according to Bloomberg.

There are believed to be over 1,750 studios around the world and F45 is said to be one of the fastest growing franchises.  

‘The founders of F45 have done an incredible job building a global brand and with this partnership we hope to continue disrupting the fitness industry,’ Mark said in a statement at the time. 

‘The strength of F45 is that people of all fitness levels will find motivation and support in an F45 studio.’

Mark has other fitness-related investments, including StockX, a startup focused on trainer resales, Aquahydrate, a water brand, and Performance Inspired Nutrition, a workout supplement. 

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, Mark was ‘not comfortable’ revealing exactly how much he invested into F45. 

In 2018, Mark revealed on his Instagram his gruelling workout schedule, which begins at 2.30am. He said at the time that he goes to bed at 7.30pm.

On the former rapper’s check list were two major workouts that lasted more than an hour, two showers, snacks and meals, a cryo chamber recovery, golf and business meetings, in a routine that has baffled his fans.

It all begins at 2:30am when his alarm goes off. Next it’s a prayer session. Then the action star has breakfast at 3:15 am, his first meal of many throughout the day. 

From 3:40am until 5:15am he has a serious workout session that includes weight lifting.

Mark’s millions of Instagram followers will already know about his early workouts as he often shares videos of his gym sessions under the hashtag #4amclub.

At 5:30am it’a a workout meal and then a shower at 6am, which bizarrely appears to last for 90 minutes.

By 7:30am the Shooter actor is playing golf, which could be considered another workout, but only for 30 minutes as a snack follows at 8am. Next it’s a cryo chamber session.

In March last year, Mark told The Los Angeles Times about changing his fitness routine to the F45 method, saying he used to spend hours in the gym when he didn’t need to.

‘A few years ago, I realised that I needed to be able to look like a normal person but perform like a professional athlete,’ Mark said. 

‘From all the super-heavy bodybuilder lifting, I had injuries to my shoulders, trouble with disks in my back… something had to change. Lifting like that for years takes a big toll on you.’
