Love Island moves from Fiji to Las Vegas as CBS sets late summer premiere for season 2 of sexy singles reality show
Fans of the US version of Love Island could be welcoming back the reality show franchise later this summer, despite the coronavirus pandemic.
The second season of sexy singles mingling in an exotic location was due to air in May but like many other productions, it was postponed due to the spread of COVID-19.
But now, according to Vulture, producers are preparing to film the CBS show next month after moving it from Fiji to Las Vegas.

New location: Vulture reported Wednesday that producers have moved the show from Fiji to Las Vegas where pre-production is already underway at the Cromwell Hotel on the Strip

The boutique hotel, which has been closed since March, is part of the Caesars Entertainment group.
While CBS hasn’t commented on the report, it’s believed that cast and crew will be required to quarantine before filming begins and will be tested for COVID-19 both before and during filming.
Producers will also likely work in pods to limit interaction with others and social distancing and other protocols will be in place.

It’s not known if casting has already been done or is in the process of being carried out, or how or if the new coronavirus measures may affect the format of the show.
The show brings together a group of sexy singles looking for love in an exotic locale and has them pair off to avoid elimination, with a cash prize awaiting the winning couple.
The US version of Love Island, based on a hit British TV format, aired in North America last summer.
