Josh Brolin’s wife Kathryn puts baby bump on display as she joins in on #womensupportingwomen

Kathryn Brolin announced she and husband Josh Brolin were expecting their second child together on Instagram earlier this month.

And on Sunday Kathryn once again took to the social media app to show off her growing baby bump when she joined in on the #womensupportingwomen movement, which is also known for the phrase Challenge Accepted.  

‘I love this challenge. Women supporting women. I’ve never felt more empowered as a woman than this,’ she captioned the gorgeous black and white photo.

 

In the snap Kathryn can be seen staring straight into the camera wearing a white off-the-shoulder dress that had the midriff section left open to showcase her pending bundle of joy.

The 32-year-old actress is absolutely glowing, like only an expecting mother can, with her brown locks styled long and her right hand cradling her baby bump. 

Kathryn’s post is part of the new trend on social media, where users share black and white photos, along with the phrase ‘challengeaccepted’ or the hashtag #ChallengeAccepted, in the caption.

First started in 2016 as the Black And White Challenge to raise cancer awareness, the movement is now being used to advocate for female empowerment, according to distractify.com.  

The meaning behind the #womensupportingwomen movement is to make Instagram a safe and positive space for those who need it most right now, and for women to appreciate each other’s beauty.

And from the sound of Kathryn’s statement in the caption of her post, pregnancy is when she feels most empowered as a woman. 

She broke her pregnancy news on Instagram July 7 by sharing a photo of herself baring her growing midriff in a crop top and denim shorts as she gave her daughter Westlyn a sweet smooch. 

‘The Brolin’s are a growin’ !! Our little December babe is on the way….’ she wrote in the caption, which referenced the due date of their pending baby.

Josh, 52, left a cheeky comment on the post, writing, ‘Wow. That’s amazing! Congratula … wait … WHAT?!?!’

The couple, who celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary in September, welcomed daughter Westlyn in November 2018.

Josh also shares son Trevor Brolin, 32, and daughter Eden Brolin, 26, with his first wife Alice Adair, who were married from 1988 until 1994.
