Her solo outing comes just weeks after she opened up about her 25 year marriage to Mark Consuelos.

They tied the knot on May 1, 1996.

Kelly, who co-hosts Live With Kelly and Ryan with Ryan Seacrest, and Mark are parents to three children: sons Michael, 23, and Joaquin, 18, and daughter Lola, 19.

The longtime couple sat down for an appearance on Double Date podcast, where they said while they have ‘progressive’ views, they each hold ‘almost old-fashioned’ roles in their relationship.

‘What’s funny is I think of us as such a progressive couple. I always think of us as politically progressive… we’re progressive people,’ Kelly said.

‘And yet, when it comes to our family and our marriage and our roles, I think of us as very traditional and almost old-fashioned in our roles.’

Mark, 50, agreed with his wife’s description of their dynamic, adding that she is what ‘makes [their] home a home.’

The actor also said he would call himself ‘a traditional guy,’ before elaborating that on the ‘certain roles’ he feels like each partner plays in a relationship.

Adding: ‘I feel like there are certain roles – it’s hard to explain exactly what those roles are.’

‘We had a conversation where I said, “Hey listen, there’s really only room for one man in this relationship and its going to be me,’ Mark said.

The talk show host also revealed that Mark was the driving force behind her signing to do Live, despite initial hesitations.

‘I wanted to raise my kids. I didn’t want to have them and never get to see them. And the talk show afforded me this opportunity where I would work in the morning, early in the morning. and then I would have the rest of the day to take them to their activities or be there and watch the ballet, be there and do all of those things.’

‘In that way, we’re very traditional. He made those sacrifices, but I think he wouldn’t know how to find a ballet class,’ she said.

‘He wouldn’t know how to go about signing the kids up for religion classes.’

‘Some would say you made the sacrifice,’ he said, acknowledging the work and patience required to be a successful homemaker.

Kelly insisted that they raised their daughter Lola ‘to never take a backseat position to any person or any man she dates.’

Kelly also credited Mark’s vigorous work schedule for her ‘[never having] to leave home to work’ and getting to focus on raising their kids in New York City.
