This is the heart-warming moment locals rescued a frightened cat after it got stuck in a second-floor apartment window while its owners were out at work. 

The scared pet struggled for more than an hour to free itself from the half-open window in the Russian city of Krasnodar, risking a 30ft fall to the pavement below.   

Alarmed passersby called the emergency services but they reportedly declined to assist.
