Totally keen! In a new interview, Will Mellor, 44, has confirmed that he’d be up for doing a Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps revival (Show still from 2002)

Asked by Digital Spy if he’d be interested in doing a revival for Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, Will replied: ‘Why not?

‘There are possibilities and I’m up for doing a special or anything like that, because I’ve got great memories of that show.

‘People enjoyed it and liked it for what it was. So for the fans of the show who’ve got great memories, I’d do it for them, no problem at all.

‘I loved playing the character of Gaz, as he was great fun to play. Twenty years has just flown by. Why not revisit it?’

Will’s comments came after he admitted a Two Pints reunion would be ‘hard’ as he hasn’t spoken to his co-star Sheridan Smith in nearly five years.

He told OK! Magazine: ‘A reunion with the full cast means we have to get everyone back together and you know how hard that is.

‘I haven’t spoken to Sheridan Smith in nearly five years so haven’t got a clue what she’d say.’

In October 2020, Will claimed he and Sheridan hadn’t spoken in four years, with the star claiming Sheridan has snubbed his calls and he doesn’t know why.

He told the Daily Star: ‘I haven’t spoken to Sheridan for four years. I have tried to message and call her but nothing.

‘I had a 40th birthday party that she was invited to but we haven’t spoken. There has not been a row, no fall-out… I honestly couldn’t tell you why.

‘We were very, very close at one point and you just drift apart, but I wish her well.

Speaking about playing evil drug lord Harvey on Coronation Street, Will gushed: ‘I’m loving every minute of it, to be honest. Working on Corrie is quite fast-paced and I enjoy that.

‘The character [Harvey] is great too, even though he’s horrible! He’s a great part to play…Everyone said before I went onto Coronation Street that I’d love it. Everyone’s lovely and there’s not a single bad egg on it. It’s a great place to be, to be honest.’

Teasing his upcoming storylines, Will asserted: ‘All I can say for now is that the heat gets turned up, bit by bit.’

Will is best known for his television roles, including Jambo Bolton in Hollyoaks, Gaz Wilkinson in Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps, DC Spike Tanner in No Offence and Steve Connolly in Broadchurch.

The actor met dancer Michelle McSween when they starred together in the stage musical Oh, What a Night in 1999. They married in 2007 and have two children, Jayden, 16, and Renee, 12.
