‘Dinner with my gorgeous girls’: David Warner enjoys a farewell dinner with wife Candice and daughters Ivy, six, and Indi, five, in Sydney

David Warner enjoyed one last dinner date in Sydney’s Double Bay with his family before embarking on a yet another trip.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, the 34-year-old cricketer shared a series of photos of himself, his wife of six years Candice Warner, and their young daughters.

The couple are parents to daughters Ivy, six, Indi, five, and Isla, one, with the doting dad sharing a photo of himself and his eldest daughters out on the street.

‘Dinner with my gorgeous girls before I leave and unfortunately Isla could not stay awake,’ David captioned the post.

A second photo showed Candice, 36, and Indi inside what appeared to have been the restaurant they dined at.

In a post-match interview in January last year, David said he was almost certain his family is now complete.

‘I think we will speak to our wives first. I’ve got three kids – I hope that’s the last one,’ he confessed.

In an interview with Woman’s Day magazine in July 2019, Candice spoke about her ‘terrifying’ ordeal while giving birth to Isla in London in June that same year.

‘Everything was going to clockwork – until I knew something was very wrong. She didn’t like the drugs they needed to give me to bring on the contractions – it was terrifying,’ she recounted.

‘Each time I was contracting, her heart rate would drop dramatically. Dave did not leave my side.

‘For the final eight hours of a 12-hour long labour, the drip was on its absolute lowest level of the hormones. She just kept fighting – she’s definitely got the Warner gritty determination!’

Isla’s dramatic arrival came after the couple suffered two miscarriages in the year before her birth.
