Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy bring food and gifts to friend’s home … amid report ‘her life is back to normal’

Felicity Huffman and William H. Macy were seen visiting a friend’s home in Lake Elsinore, California on Sunday bearing gifts, amid a new report that things are coming around for the actress in the wake of her conviction in the college admissions scandal.

The Desperate Housewives star, 58, was clad in a grey long-sleeved top with navy blue pants and black sneakers, with her blonde locks pulled back into a ponytail.

The Emmy-winning actress wore sunglasses and a grey face mask, toting flowers in one arm and a reusable bag in the other.

A source last week told ET that Huffman’s ‘life is back to normal,’ as she and her family are thriving.

‘Both her daughters are thriving in college,’ the source said. ‘Her husband has great projects in the works and she has a big project in the works. Felicity did the walk in the right way, accepted responsibility, and rehabilitated her career and reputation.’

Macy and Huffman, who are parents to daughters Sofia, 20, and Georgia, 19, appeared to be in a good mood on the daytime outing to meet friends.

Huffman continues to rebound about two years after her involvement in the 2019 scandal went public.

Huffman admitted to paying admissions official William Singer $15,000, via his nonprofit Key Worldwide Foundation, for a proctor to correct wrong answers on her daughter Sofia’s SATs. Authorities said the nonprofit was set up as a front to accept bribes.

Following her sentencing, Huffman admitted wrongdoing and remorse for her actions in the course of events.

‘I broke the law,’ she said. ‘I have admitted that and I pleaded guilty to this crime. There are no excuses or justifications for my actions … I was stupid, and I was so wrong.

‘I can promise you that in the months and years to come that I will try and live a more honest life, serve as a better role model for my daughters and family and continue to contribute my time and energies wherever I am needed.’

The Oscar-nominated star, who spent 11 days in federal prison in October of 2019, is a focal point in a Netflix docudrama titled Operation Varsity Blues, after the federal investigation that led to her arrest. Huffman ‘will not be watching Operation Varsity Blues,’ a source told ET.

Huffman’s career appears to be on the upswing, as she’s been cast in an ABC comedy about a minor league baseball team, Deadline reported last fall.
