Former sprinter Matt Shirvington reaches out to Sunrise weatherman Sam Mac to offer advice on THAT bulging wetsuit – years after he made headlines for his lycra running suit
Sam Mac left little to the imagination on Channel Seven’s Sunrise on Thursday when he appeared in a live cross wearing a skintight wetsuit.
But despite leaving co-stars Natalie Barr and David ‘Kochie’ Koch in fits of laughter, Matt Shirvington had a different reaction.
The former professional sprinter, 42, reached out to the weatherman, 39, to offer him support and ‘advice’ in dealing with the situation.

Matt received a lot of attention for a similar situation in 1998, after running at the Commonwealth Games in a lycra outfit.
‘I’m here if you need any advice navigating this into the future!’ he messaged Sam, who shared the message to his social media accounts.
The funnyman captioned the post to Instagram and Twitter on Thursday: ‘I’ve received a lot of notifications today, but this is the REAL ultimate tag.’
The upload sent his followers into fits of laughter, with some labeling it as the ‘best thing’ they have seen.

‘I’ve got to show you the back… This is zipless, which is pretty exciting!’ Sam told Natalie and ‘Kochie’ in the Sydney studio.
‘We don’t want to see the front, that’s for sure!’ Kochie responded.
As the camera zoomed in on Sam’s wetsuit, the anchors burst into laughter.
