In the superhero film, Pitt appeared as The Vanisher, an X-Force team member who remains silent and invisible for much of the character’s screen time before being killed after landing on a power line.

The performer was initially supposed to take on the role of Cable, although scheduling conflicts reduced his involvement in the project to a cameo appearance.

The Once Upon A Time In Hollywood actor was paid the SAG-AFTRA daily minimum rate for his appearance, which amounted to less than $1,000.

The feature’s screenwriter, Rhett Reese, later told IndieWire that, in addition to filming the scene in only half an hour, Pitt wanted the film’s 44-year-old star to personally give him his drink.

The 45-year-old producer recalled that the Fight Club actor ‘said, “I want this exact coffee from Starbucks, and, Ryan, I want you to deliver it to me.”‘

The screenwriter also noted that ‘It was hilarious because he had kind of forgotten that he asked for it. It was really funny.’

Reese then remarked that the scene was shot in secrecy and stated,’it wasn’t until the thing screened that anyone had any idea’ that Pitt was in the feature at all.’

Reynolds and Lively first met on the set of the 2010 superhero film Green Lantern, which they co-starred in; the actor made fun of his involvement in the feature at the end of Deadpool 2.
