Go ape! Ingenious monkeys use power line as a zip wire to whizz between buildings in India

A group of clever monkeys used an electrical cord to create their own zip wire – with one brave primate even sliding down backwards.
Two monkeys were spotted taking a ride on the wire which runs between buildings in Udaipur, India, on Tuesday.
In the hilarious clip they show off their impressive balancing skills as they ride the makeshift zip wire in all directions, even turning around while sliding.
The monkeys decided the best way to get across buildings was to turn electrical wires into a zip wire in Udaipur, India
A group of primates can be seen sat atop a building contemplating how to make it across to the other side, and seeming to take inspiration from Go Ape adventure parks.
The first monkey can be seen leaping on the cord, gripping on tight like a pro as he travelled face first down the wire, whizzing through the air.
His tail appears to wag as he enjoys the ride and he begins to gain momentum.
It almost looks as if he will slide off for a moment but he quickly regains his composure before landing safely in a palm tree.

Clearly keen to outdo his friend, one of the other primates then jumps off the building onto the cable and also zips down the wire, but this time he does it backwards.
He appears very relaxed, leaning forwards on the cable as he goes and appearing to be shimmying himself along.
The daring monkey even glances towards the camera at one point and stops in the middle of the wire to stand up.
But such adventures can come with some terrible consequences, such as the horrific burns and loss of sight one monkey experienced after being electrocuted.
