Katharine McPhee flashes peace sign as she cradles newborn son and her Chihuahua in upbeat Instagram snap
She gave birth to her first child, a boy, two weeks ago.
And Katharine McPhee is clearly adjusting well to her new role as a mom.
The 36-year-old posted a photo to Instagram Story Tuesday in which she’s flashing the peace sign while holding her beloved Chihuahua with her other and her baby in a sling.

McPhee, who shares her son with husband David Foster, 71, posed for the snap in front of a huge stone fireplace and an al fresco dining and living area.
She wore a long-sleeve blue patterned frock and sandal flats with embellished straps.
Her hair was styled back from her face and she sported sunglasses.

While her son is her first child, he is music producer Foster’s sixth; he has five adult daughters from his previous relationships.
The couple have not yet publicly revealed their son’s name.
McPhee became Foster’s fourth wife in June 2019, a year after they announced their engagement. She confirmed in December that they were expecting a child together.
