Speaking to the Herald Sun on Tuesday, Bonnie said she’s currently ‘in a really happy, confident place’.

‘Matt and I are enjoying this time together plus I feel so excited about what’s ahead for me in 2021 both personally and professionally,’ she told the publication.

In 2017, Bonnie was charged with lying to police to protect her drug-using ex-boyfriend.

She pleaded guilty in July 2019 to failing to inform authorities her then partner Matt Arnautovic was driving her car when he sped away from police in 2017.

Bonnie was later released on a good behaviour bond over the incident.

Last month, Bonnie announced she was leaving Neighbours after three years on the long-running soap, with her final episode set to air later in the year.
