Moment police aim ‘assault rifles’ at group of ’16-year-olds’ as two are pinned to the ground

Police officers have aimed ‘assault rifles’ at a group of 16-year-olds as two were pinned to the ground, it has been claimed.

Footage appeared to show several armed officers surrounding a group of young men on a doorstep in Hackney, London.

One of the men lay on the ground next to a red hire bike as an officer pinned him to the floor.

The person taking the video then panned to show a close up of one of the boys on the floor as a huge firearm was pointed at him.

As the footage continued, an unmarked police car arrived and another two firearms officers jumped out to help.

A helicopter could be heard hovering overhead.

Worried residents could be seen standing in their doorways as the situation developed. 

It is not know exactly when the footage was taken or where it appeared originally but it surfaced on crime sites on Twitter. 

The Met Police said they were aware of the video and have been asked to comment.
