Two brothers left with horrific injuries in a brutal street attack claim it was sparked when they asked revellers to keep the noise down at a lockdown-breaching party.

Abdul Hafiz, 44, and 38-year-old Abdulla Al Mamun were punched kicked and ‘beaten with broken fence panel’ during the vicious group attack in Walsall, West Midlands.

The pair say they were left ‘fearing for their lives’ as the group landed repeated blows on them as they attempted to back away.

Mr Hafiz, who was knocked out cold for 15 minutes following the ordeal, suffered severe bruising to his face and a fractured hip, while Mr Al Mamun was left with facial injuries.

The pair claim the incident was sparked when they had gone to a neighbouring property to ask them to ‘quieten down’ after hearing ‘shouting, loud music and disruption’.

CCTV then shows a group attacking Mr Hafiz, knocking him to the ground and aiming punches and kicks at him.

His brother is then seen running to his defence after hearing the commotion.

But both men are quickly surrounded by a group, who are seen raining blows on the pair as they are on the floor.

Another neighbour can be seen trying to act as peacemaker.

But, despite his attempts to mediate, the brothers are chased down the road and out of site of the camera.

Mr Hafiz claims he was then repeatedly ‘battered with a broken fence panel and knocked unconscious’.

The attackers fled as witnesses called 999 and rushed to help the victims, who were both taken to hospital.

The shocking incident, which took place in Lord Street, Palfry, on Monday, is being investigated by West Midlands Police.
