Lisa Wilkinson awkwardly calls comedian Joel Creasey a ‘messy b**ch’ as he promotes his new show on The Project – and reveals he’s in no hurry to marry boyfriend Jack Stratton-Smith

Lisa Wilkinson left comedian Joel Creasey a little shocked when she repeatedly referred to him as a ‘messy b**ch’ on The Project on Friday night.

Introducing Joel, 30, to the program, Lisa, 61, said:  ‘You better believe this messy b**ch – I did not write that – will be bringing the lols and he joins us now.’

Despite stating she did not write the line she’d just uttered, Lisa added:  ‘Hey messy b**ch – that is the name of your show, why?’

Joel’s 2021 comedy tour is in fact called Messy B**ch – but nonetheless the comment raised his eyebrows.

The funnyman himself went on to call the tour by a more polite name, ‘Messy B,’ throughout the interview.

Elsewhere in the chat, Joel revealed that despite being on the cusp of celebrating his fourth anniversary with his model boyfriend Jack Stratton-Smith, they weren’t talking marriage – despite everyone asking them when they plan to wed.

‘We have been together four years which is 40 years in lesbian, and the pressure is now on,’ Joel joked.

‘Look I’m thrilled that gay marriage passed, thank you very much Australia but the pressure is on because people keep asking us when we are going to get married’.

The TV personality added:  ‘No time soon [will we marry] because I haven’t booked the venue.  Madison Square Garden is not available for a few years but when it is available it’s going to be a big event.’

Last year, for their third anniversary,  the couple stayed home and ordered a delivery of McDonald’s chicken nuggets and burgers, which they ate at the dinner table dressed in tuxedos.

‘We drank a bottle of wine and then were serenaded in our kitchen by my doppelgänger and life inspiration Courtney Act on Instagram Stories (actual heaven) before we moved a WHOLE THREE METERS to our dining table,’ Joel explained.

‘We then attempted to have a romantic dance but we fought over the song selection. And now we are eating McFlurrys in bed and watching Schitt’s Creek. Romance isn’t dead you guys!’ he concluded.
