Ellie Goulding is eight months PREGNANT! Singer expecting first child with husband Caspar Jopling
Ellie Goulding has revealed she is eight months pregnant with her first child.
The singer, 34, who married Caspar Jopling, in 2019, revealed the surprise news to Vogue on Tuesday.
She noted that lockdown has enabled her to keep her pregnancy low-key and her last major public appearance was at the V&A Museum last August.
Ellie said: ‘We did the one show. I was pregnant and had no idea. That was [around] the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out.

‘It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality.
‘Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human. I want a better word than womanly, [but]—I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.’
Last week, Ellie recalled the awkward moment she told an ex she was in love with him but he DIDN’T say it back.
In a new interview the Love Me Like You Do hitmaker reflected on the unfortunate encounter as she admitted that she’s previously been ‘overly enthusiastic’ about romance.
Ellie confessed that she has to be ‘careful’ when writing love songs because of a past experience where she was too eager in expressing her love for a man.
Asked by Capital Breakfast show host Roman Kemp if she used a romantic tune to express her love for someone, Ellie replied: ‘That’s the problem though, because I do love writing love songs, you have to be careful.
‘In the past I’ve definitely been overly enthusiastic … I once told a guy, I’m just going to say it because why not…
‘I did once tell a guy I was in love with him and he didn’t say it back and actually didn’t say it back for a long time. I honestly did want the ground to make way for me to fall into the earth and never return.’

Last year, Ellie admitted that admitted some of her previous relationships – which included DJ Greg James, DJ Skrillex, McFly’s Dougie Poynter and actor Jeremy Irvine – were a waste of time.
There were also rumoured relationships with Ed Sheeran and even Prince Harry.
Speaking to PEOPLE, she said: ‘Twenties was just a disaster in so many ways. I had these relationships at the time that were everything.
‘A couple years later, I’m like, “Why did I waste their time and mine by thinking it was something more than it was?”.

Ellie and Jasper met in 2016 after they were seated next to each other at a dinner arranged by their mutual friend, Princess Eugenie.
The pair got married at a star-studded wedding at York Minster in August 2019, attended by everyone from the Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson to the actress Sienna Miller and singer Katy Perry.
Her husband was educated at Eton and Harvard, and is the son of an aristocratic Yorkshire landowner and the nephew of art dealer Jay Joplin.
