Welcome to the world! KIIS FM host Kate ‘Monty’ Dimond and her husband, radio producer Sam Cavanagh, have welcomed their third child, a boy named Otis. She broke the news on the 3pm Pick-Up on Tuesday, just before leaving the hospital with her newborn

‘It was an hour of the most intense pain [towards the end]. Three pushes and he was here.’

She was induced because she has gestational diabetes.

For Monty, the birth of her third child was the first since the death of her own mother.

Monty’s mum had been by her side for the arrival of her sons Baxter, eight, and Arlo, six.

‘[Sam] actually is amazing and my best friend was in there as well, which was so special because with the other two [births] mum was here,’ she explained.

‘I was really nervous to do it without mum this time and I had so many mental blocks like, “I can’t do it without mum.”

‘If I didn’t have my A-team there, I got my best mate Stacey and [Sam] the two of them were phenomenal.’

Despite the emotional day, she experienced a funny moment during the labour when she farted and everyone in the birthing suite laughed.

After welcoming her newest bub, Monty told her Instagram followers: ‘The little fella rocked into this world at 12.21am on 12.2.21!

‘He is rather fabulous and adored beyond already.’

In August last year, Monty announced her baby news on her afternoon radio show.

‘I’ve just got something to tell you guys. I’m going to have my third baby,’ she said.

‘I’m 15 weeks now, and I kept it to myself for quite a while because I had quite a few scares along the way and I just didn’t know if the little one was going to grip.

‘But I think it has gripped, I think it’s hanging on in there.’

At the time, she didn’t know her child’s gender, but she said she thought she was having another boy following a scan.

‘I so saw a wang [in the scan]. Everyone is like, “You can’t tell.” I didn’t get it confirmed, but I’m like, “Mate, my boys are born with big schlongs – it’s undeniable,'” she said with a laugh.

‘I’m just not meant to have a girl. It’s definitely a boy,’ she added.

Family: The boys preferred a pet over a sibling in the game, but when Monty revealed they were going to be big brothers, they where surprised and overjoyed. Pictured is Monty with her radio producer husband Sam Cavanagh and their sons

Big brothers: Monty also shared a cute video of her two sons reacting to her pregnancy news – Baxter, eight, and Arlo, six (pictured). In the clip, she plays ‘would you rather’ with her boys asking them if they would rather a bunny or a gold fish over a baby brother or sister
