Sam recently broke his silence on Britney’s conservatorship battle, telling People: ‘I have always wanted nothing but the best for my better half, and will continue to support her following her dreams and creating the future she wants and deserves.

‘I am thankful for all of the love and support she is receiving from her fans all over the world, and I am looking forward to a normal, amazing future together.’

He also spoke up against her father Jamie Spears, 68, who’s since been reinstated as her co-conservator with wealth management firm Bessemer Trust Company.

The Family Business actor wrote: ‘Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles in our way.

‘In my opinion Jamie is a total d***. I won’t be going into detail because I’ve always respected our privacy but at the same time I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.’

Britney appeared to address her conservatorship case and a recent documentary earlier this week, posting a throwback video to Instagram of herself performing Toxic during her Las Vegas residency.

She wrote: ‘Can’t believe this performance of Toxic is from 3 years ago !!! I’ll always love being on stage …. but I am taking the time to learn and be a normal person ….. I love simply enjoying the basics of every day life !!!!

‘Each person has their story and their take on other people’s stories !!!! We all have so many different bright beautiful lives !!! Remember, no matter what we think we know about a person’s life it is nothing compared to the actual person living behind the lens !!!!’
