Jay-Z gets political calling out Capitol insurrectionists in his new song What It Feels Like with beloved late rapper Nipsey Hussle

Rap mogul Jay-Z is calling out Capitol insurrectionists in his new song, What It Feels Like, featuring late Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle.

The 51-year-old hip hop icon dropped the collaboration on Friday as part of the soundtrack for the upcoming HBO film Judas and the Black Messiah.

In the lyrics, Jay raps about the supporters of former President Donald Trump who stormed the United States Capitol in a mob on January 6, 2021 in an effort to overturn the legal results of the presidential election.

‘You let them crackers storm your Capitol, put they feet up on your desk / And yet you talkin’ tough to me, I lost all my little respect,’ Jay-Z raps in the song.

The line is a clear reference to images from the attempted coup of rioters inside the Capitol building sitting at the desks of lawmakers like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Former President Trump is currently facing his second impeachment trial in the Senate over his actions leading up to the insurrection.

He stands accused of directing and encouraging the violence on January 6 that claimed several lives, including a police officer.
