Madelaine Petsch flashes her abs in peach crop top… as she shares the advice her late costar Luke Perry gave her on handling haters

Madelaine Petsch has revealed the advice she received from her late costar Luke Perry after she was relentlessly bullied online over her role on Riverdale.

Petsch, 26, sought the help of her seasoned co-star after facing backlash from viewers online, who had a bone to pick with her mean girl character, Cheryl Blossom.

In the March issue of Cosmopolitan, Petsch reveals she was advised to take the hate as a compliment to her good acting.

‘He was like, “You’re not a character we’re supposed to like, and that means you’re selling it so well that people think that must be who you are,”‘ Petsch revealed.

The former 90210 star, who died at age 52 in 2019 from a stroke, also advised her to stop using Twitter.

Petsch has learned a thing or two ever since rising to fame starring on the hit series based on the Archie comic books.

On top of starring on the hit series, Petsch also has her own YouTube channel where more than 6 million subscribers watch her daily antics.

The videos also included plenty of content involving her ex-boyfriend, Travis Mills, whom she split from after three years last year.

Now with the relationship in her rearview mirror, Petsch regrets including so much of him on her channel.

‘I was so public with my boyfriend,’ she lamented. ‘I wish I would’ve pulled back a little back.’

Now, a year older and wiser, Petsch plans on keeping those relationships off her channel.

‘Moving forward, I will keep personal relationships like that off my YouTube,’ she said.

The couple announced their split in February 2020, and while her ex described her as ‘compassionate, smart & wonderful’ in a statement announcing their separation on Instagram, Petsch remained silent.

Petsch felt she wasn’t being true to herself releasing a statement on the break-up.

‘I chose not to because that was what felt most authentic to me,’ she told the magazine.
