The second part of Southern Charms’ reunion episode went off the rails after Kathryn Dennis defended herself against racism accusations from her costar Leva Bonaparte.
In a new clip from Thursday night’s show obtained by People, Dennis, 29, claimed that Bonaparte had used the controversy to ‘come up’ on the series.
Back in May, Dennis was accused of racism when she used a monkey emoji during an argument with Mika Gadsden, a radio host who is Black.

‘It was very late in the evening, I had been drinking, and I don’t know why I used the word “minority,”‘ Dennis says in the clip as she tries to defend herself.
‘It was irresponsible. It was the wrong word to use because it seems like I’m discouraging minorities.’
Her costar Craig Conover, 31, tried to get her to take more responsibility for her actions, suggesting ‘that would only mean that it meant she was Black.’
Dennis shot back in anger: ‘It doesn’t [mean that]. Don’t ever say that about me again!’

Under scrutiny: Leva Bonaparte said they were ‘trying to help,’ but Dennis accused her of using the scandal for personal gain. ‘You used my mistake to come up on the show!’
She turned to the rest of her costars, accusing them of slandering her before shouting again as Conover tried to talk over her.
Bonaparte jumped in at that point, saying that he was ‘trying to help’ her.
After Conover asked her again to ‘address the “minority” thing,’ Dennis spat out, ‘I don’t know how to address it!’
Bonaparte took over and said she had ‘consistently tried to help’ her costar.
‘You were trying to isolate me and put me on an island,’ Kathryn replied. ‘You saw an opportunity to come up on my downfall. You used my mistake to come up on the show!

‘This is my life,’ she added.
Bonaparte was clearly offended by Dennis’ claim that she was ‘having fun’ with the racism scandal during their back-and-forth chatter.
‘It’s my life, too! Do you know how many death threats I get on the internet every day?’ she cries out. ‘From people being like, “How could you be with this person and think it’s cool and actually be like, oh it’s okay, she didn’t mean it that way, and actually walk her through it and not cancel her?”
‘Do you even understand it?’ she continues. ‘You are so f***ing disrespectful.’
Despite their fiery argument, the group doesn’t seem to have been too angry to pose for a photo together, which Bonaparte shared to her Insta Stories on Thursday.
Earlier in the week, Kathryn showed off her blond locks and her sparkling gold-sequined gown from the reunion while posing with her boyfriend Chleb Ravenell.
