Channel 10 has decided to shake up its programming schedule ahead of the new ratings year.

The network has axed four major shows from its 2021 line-up, TV Tonight reports.

AFL-themed drama series Playing for Keeps and reality shows Trial by Kyle, Celebrity Name Game and One Born Every Minute Australia have all been dumped.

Playing for Keeps, which last aired in 2019, focused on the glamorous lives of the wives and girlfriends of the players in a fictional Melbourne footy team.

Celebrity Name Game, which was hosted by Grant Denyer, is also not returning.

The show saw teams of two trying to guess the names of singers, actors and other well-known personalities with the help of a celebrity guest.

The broadcaster also decided to scrap Trial by Kyle, the courtroom-style reality show hosted by radio host Kyle Sandilands.

The Judge Judy-inspired program helped contestants settle their petty grievances in the ‘court of Kyle’ and aired for a full season in 2019.

Meanwhile, One Born Every Minute Australia has also been axed.

The reality show offered a behind-the-scenes look at all angles of a maternity ward, from the reception desk to the operating theatre.

However, mystery drama My Life is Murder will be returning to Channel 10, with production moving to New Zealand.

‘We will still broadcast My Life is Murder. I don’t think it will be this year but if it is, it wouldn’t be much before the end of this year,’ Channel 10’s Head of Programming, Daniel Monaghan, said.
