And on Friday, Troy Delmege made a rare TV appearance on Channel Nine’s Today show ahead of the long-awaited MAFS Grand Reunion, which airs on Sunday.
The IT worker, 38, was described by host Karl Stefanovic as ‘a little odd, but in the best possible way’ during the chat.

He was referring to a memorable scene from MAFS in which Troy aggressively brushed his teeth in a manner that resembled a rabid dog.
Troy joked that he still ‘very much’ brushes his teeth in the same way.
‘It’s never going to change, and hopefully they’re looking sparkling right now!’ he added, before flashing his pearly whites for the camera.

Troy’s rampant teeth-brushing went viral when it first aired on MAFS, and caused such a stir it was even played in front of millions on The Ellen Show in America.
Also on the Today show, Troy spoke about the possibility of reuniting with his ex-‘wife’ Ashley Irvin at the reunion after they broke up during the season five finale.
When asked if there was any chance of rekindling their romance, Troy said: ‘We did discuss that… I think at the end of my MAFS series, at the renewal ceremony, mine was more like a “now is not the right time”.

‘It wasn’t a categorical no… it is great to see her. She is looking great.’
He was then asked by Karl which star he wasn’t looking forward to reuniting with.
‘I was probably hoping to avoid that guy called Nasser [Sultan]. I thought he was a bit of a waste of time,’ Troy said.

‘But I wish him all the best. He was probably the biggest one I didn’t have too much in common with. Let’s leave it there.’

Married At First Sight Grand Reunion will air over two nights on Sunday, January 31, at 7pm and Monday, February 1, at 7.30pm on Nine and 9Now
