She may learn to use her gun in her new movie I’m Your Woman.
But Rachel Brosnahan, 30, told the New York Post about how uneasy she actually feels about the prospect of holding a firearm even while acting.
Rachel was quoted by Cindy Adams as saying: ‘My character in this new film made me nervous. I’m bad at handling guns and – for the first time – it scared me.’

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress shared: ‘I hadn’t realized that suddenly I, and everything else around, would feel really different.’
While chatting to Cindy Rachel recalled: ‘For a film once before, I had to learn to shoot. I wasn’t happy. Another only time was my single inexplicable date with a guy who for some reason took me to a shooting range.’
Rachel, who has been married to Broadway veteran Jason Ralph since 2016, dished: ‘Trust me, this was a one date only.’
She explained: ‘Sometimes in movies it feels like someone shoves a gun in the actor’s hand, whereupon power surges through his veins, and the person suddenly miraculously knows how to use it. I’m not comfortable handling guns.’

The Milwaukee-born thespian is seen holding a firearm in the trailer for her new crime drama I’m Your Woman which dropped on Amazon Prime last month.
Set in the 1970s, the movie stars Rachel as a hunky thief’s wife called Jean who is caring for her baby boy when her husband vanishes.
She and the baby up in the care of a man she does not know called Cal (Arinze Kene) and over the course of her misadventures winds up having to use a gun.
Cal’s father Art, played by Frankie Faison, can be glimpsed in one scene of the trailer teaching Jean how to shoot a firearm in a field.

‘Anyone can learn to shoot, but what you really need to figure out is what you’ll do when it’s real,’ Art warns her ominously.
Cal’s wife Teri, played by Marsha Stephanie Blake, then informs Jean that the weapon is so that she will ‘be prepared for what comes next.’
Near the end of the trailer Rachel can be seen bleeding from the forehead as she advances on a small house holding a gun.
The movie bowed last month to positive reviews to the tune of an 81% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 64 score on Metacritic.
