Former NRL star confirms his fiancée Susie Bradley is PREGNANT with their first child

Former NRL star Todd Carney has confirmed his fiancée Susie Bradley is pregnant with their first child, following weeks of speculation.

On Christmas Day, the pair took to Instagram to announce the happy news – before revealing they were expecting a baby boy in the new year.

‘Our hearts are full, Christmas will be sweet. Our family is growing by one heart & two feet,’ the post read. ‘Baby boy Carney due March 2021.’

Little one on the way! Former NRL star Todd Carney has confirmed his fiancée Susie Bradley is pregnant with their first child, following weeks of speculation

The announcement comes following weeks of speculation, after NRL player Mitchell Pearce appeared to accidentally let the news slip during a recent interview with the 257 Collective podcast.

During the interview, Mitchell was asked to describe his top three NRL players of all time.

After heaping praise on his former Newcastle Knights teammate, Mitchell said: ‘[Todd Carney’s] going well now, he’s killing it, having a baby and everything he’s on fire.’

Todd had also dropped a major hint Susie was pregnant earlier this month, by uploading a photo of himself, Susie and her five-year-old daughter Baby to Instagram alongside a very telling caption.

‘That Christmas feeling. I love you three,’ he captioned the post, referring to three people.

In the photo, Todd smiled as he held Baby on his shoulders and posed alongside the former MAFS star.

It’s been a busy year for the couple, who are not only celebrating their baby joy, but also the fact they secretly got engaged earlier in the year.

Susie, who previously appeared on Married At First Sight, gave away the news after referring to the former NRL player as her ‘sexy fiancé’ in an Instagram post shared in October.

But it’s not been the smoothest ride for the couple, who have had a tumultuous relationship ever since getting together back in January 2019.

The couple first separated in October after eight months of dating, but their breakup proved to be short-lived.

Since then, they have split and got back together several times. Their most recent reconciliation was in December last year.

Susie rose to fame after appearing on the fifth season of Married At First Sight, which was filmed in late 2018.

She married Billy Vincent, but they failed to find love with each other and eventually split up before the finale.

Meanwhile, Todd made headlines for all the wrong reasons in 2014 when he was sacked mid-season by the Cronulla Sharks following his infamous ‘bubbler’ incident.

The former NRL player sensationally had his $3million contract torn up after an image went viral of him appearing to urinate in his own mouth at a Sydney pub.

The heavily tattooed star has since ditched rugby league for a new career as a concreter, and has several properties and businesses on the Gold Coast and in Bali, where he also owns a villa and a tattoo parlour.

Proving how far he’s come since 2014, he admitted in September that he had ‘no regrets’ about the bubbler incident, telling the Sunday Telegraph the scandal had made him ‘more of a resilient person and comfortable with who I am’.
