‘Blatant bulls**t’: Instagram model is slammed for her ‘weird’ claim she looks pregnant all the time – despite having a perfectly flat stomach

Australian model Belle Lucia, who is known for her impeccably trim figure, has been blasted on Instagram for claiming she looks pregnant.

The 25-year-old made the bizarre claim in the comments section of a photo posted by her friend Skye Wheatley, who is 23 weeks pregnant and has a prominent bump.

‘How do you look amazing at 23 weeks? This is my normal,’ Bella wrote on Sunday.

‘Such a weird thing to do!’ Australian model Belle Lucia, who is known for her impeccably trim figure, has been blasted on Instagram for claiming she looks pregnant

One follower was furious by the suggestion Belle somehow looks ‘pregnant’ when her glossy Instagram photos prove very much otherwise.

‘@belle_lucia but… it’s not your normal… at all… ? this type of blatant bulls**tting is such a weird thing to do on your behalf,’ they wrote.

The mother of one has more than 1.3million followers on Instagram, where she often shares glamorous selfies and images from professional photo shoots.

In August, Bella was criticised for sharing a ‘body positive’ video of herself squeezing non-existent ‘belly fat’ around her belly button.

‘Same same different pose,’ she captioned a video of herself in lingerie while clutching at skin on her stomach in a slightly unflattering position, which she contrasted with a more ‘posed’ position.

The resulting comments saw people call Belle ‘out of touch’ because ‘grabbing’ at her ‘size-zero waist’ didn’t constitute body positivity.

‘Is she f**king kidding? She looks the exact same,’ one person said, tagging their friends.

‘I think you could have done a less flattering pose because this way you’re showing yourself as “superhuman”. It will make some people feel really insecure,’ said another.

Upon reading the hundreds of negative comments, Belle apologised on Instagram Stories and admitted she was ‘not very intelligent’.

‘I just want to highlight the difference between me posed and unposed as to me I think I look different and I even felt self conscious to post it,’ she said.

‘I’m getting a lot of hate. Probably deserved but I just want to reiterate that I didn’t want to hurt anyone at all. I’m a very loving and kind person but I’m naturally not very intelligent so maybe I don’t fully understand the body-positivity movement.’

Belle said she wouldn’t be making any further posts about ‘body positivity’ because it wasn’t ‘her lane’ to travel down.

‘I’ve gone away to research why my post might have been insensitive. It is my understanding that my post was not relatable as a slim privileged woman,’ she said.
