Alan Jones and John Laws put their infamous feud to bed as they enjoy a lunch together

‘Lunch with the best’: Legendary radio rivals Alan Jones and John Laws put their infamous feud to bed as they enjoy an outing in Sydney… telling ‘unrepeatable’ stories and laughing ‘as we have in the past’

Their long-running rivalry spanned decades, but it seems it’s all water under the bridge for radio titans Alan Jones and John Laws.

On Thursday, the duo buried the hatchet and enjoyed a lunch together at Sydney’s Sokyo restaurant at The Star in Pyrmont.

Alan, 79, shared a beaming picture alongside John, 85, saying the pair shared ‘unrepeatable stories’ and ‘laughed today as we have laughed in the past’ during the three-hour lunch.

Moving on!  It appears the feud between radio titans Alan Jones and John Laws is over. On Thursday, the duo buried the hatchet and enjoyed a lunch together at Sydney’s Sokyo restaurant at The Star in Pyrmont

‘How’s this?’ Alan captioned the shot. ‘Christmas lunch at Sokyo with the best.

‘J Laws will always be at the top of the media tree. We laughed today as we have laughed in the past.’

He added: ‘Many of the stories are unrepeatable! You can’t replace good times.’

The two gents appeared in high spirits as they smiled for the touching shot, with Alan wearing a cream blazer, blue shirt and matching trousers.

John, meanwhile, looked sharp in a crisp blue shirt and a dark blue jacket.

Ongoing: From then on, there was a back-and-forth of bickering and bad words said about one another for years, with John once infamously branding Alan a 'vicious old tart' live on-air

In the move, Jones took many of 2UE’s listeners with him – leaving John furious, before he himself left shortly after.

However, the two appeared to make amends earlier in the year – as Alan appeared at John’s beloved wife Caroline’s funeral to show his support for his former rival in March.

Meanwhile, Alan left 2GB at the end of May this year, after almost two decades at the conservative radio network.

And in a surprising turn of events, he has gone on to become even more successful than ever before after launching his own nightly talk show on Sky News.
