Gal Gadot, Brie Larson and Keanu Reeves help honor 2020’s top video games at annual Game Awards

Keanu Reeves, Gal Gadot, Brie Larson and Christopher Nolan all lent their star power to the seventh annual Game Awards on Thursday night.

The A-listers honored the year’s top video games in a virtual ceremony that linked Los Angeles, London and Tokyo and was hosted by Canadian video game journalist Geoff Keighley.

Tenet director Nolan presented the night’s biggest award for game of the year to The Last of Us Part II.

Brie Larson was also on hand for the event held Thursday night

The Last of Us Part II beat out fellow nominees Hades, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, DOOM Eternal, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Ghost of Tshushima to take the prestigious prize. 

The Last of Us Part II also swept other categories, THR.com reported, winning best game direction, narrative and action/adventure game. 

Captain Marvel star Brie Larson presented the award for best performance to Laura Bailey, who played Abby from the Fireflies Militia Group that’s featured in The Last Of Us Part II.

Additional presenters included Spider-Man star Tom Holland, Keanu Reeves, John David Washington and The Last of Us voice actor Troy Baker.
