The Masked Singer: Ken Jeong switches places and performs during Holiday Sing-a-Long Spectacular

Ken Jeong switched places with the contestants Wednesday on The Masked Singer’s Holiday Sing-a-Long Spectacular.

The 51-year-old actor performed a rendition of The Little Drummer Boy that he played up for laughs.

His fellow coaches were shown applauding him, though the footage was really an outtake from earlier in season four, as were all shots of them shown on the special.

The three remaining contestants on the program nonetheless offered up new renditions of classic Christmas songs ahead of The Masked Singer finale next week.

The Sun covered Brenda Lee’s 1958 tune Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree, while Crocodile sang Silent Night and the Mushroom performed a rendition of Nat King Cole’s 1961 classic The Christmas Song.

Grammy Award-winning singer Tori Kelly, 27, who’d previously appeared on the season as the Seahorse, performed a cover of Sleigh Ride from her new album A Tori Kelly Christmas.

All of the songs featured on the program had the words printed onscreen so that viewers at home could sing along with the contestants.

Each of the celebrities who’d appeared on the season was also asked to recommend a song they’d sung that had special meaning for them, especially during the holidays.

Crocodile selected his November cover of Leona Lewis’ 2007 chart-topper Bleeding Love, which he said represented the ‘passion’ he brought to the stage.

He also picked it because it was written by another reptile contestant on the show: Turtle, aka singer/songwriter Jesse McCartney, 33.
