Don’t Be Tardy: Kim Zolciak gambles away price of ‘a whole RV’ in Las Vegas during family road trip

Kim Zolciak blew the price of ‘a whole RV’ while gambling with her family in Las Vegas on Tuesday’s episode of Don’t Be Tardy.

Nearing the end of an arduous cross-country trip, the 42-year-old reality star was thrilled to reach Sin City and spend some cash at its casinos.

After weeks in a frequently broken-down RV, even using the stationary toilet in her hotel room made Kim giddy, and the prospect of gambling elated her.

She tried to win at the slots and tables for more than 11 hours and eventually her luck ran out.

Asked by producers how she’d fared at the casinos, she made a moue of distaste.

‘I would have been up a whole RV, actually, had I just stopped while I was ahead, but I just can’t help it,’ Kim said in a confessional. ‘I kind of broke even.’

The former star of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta clearly had a reputation at the casinos.

When her family got to Vegas, Planet Hollywood’s limo drivers were waiting for them.

‘Planet Hollywood and Caesar’s, let’s be honest, they do know us,’ Kim admitted.

Planet Hollywood gave her family a room on its seventh floor—which Kim took because she hated elevators—and comped her daughters a four-bedroom penthouse on the 30th floor.

Kim said she probably wouldn’t even see her room as she’d be up all night gambling.

In a confessional, her daughter Brielle Biermann, 22, said, ‘Kim is a high roller in Vegas, Alabama, North Carolina. Just hundred dollars after hundred dollars for hours.’

In a video, Kim was shown stuffing $100 bills into machines over and over.

She marveled at the buffet signs she saw in Vegas, seemingly unaware that people flocked there to eat cheap food.

‘I don’t even need to eat here in Vegas,’ Kim told the cameras. ‘As long as I have my wine and my water, I don’t need sleep, and I don’t need food.’

When Kim’s daughter Kaia, seven, was asked if she knew what casinos were, she said, ‘Yes. My mom plays the casinos because she wants money.’

With the casinos calling to her, Kim struggled to find the balance between kid time and adult time.

She and her husband Kroy Biermann, 35, took the kids to see parrots on the Strip and pointed at a group of storks, which Kim hadn’t known were real.

Several hours later, she had the kids bathed and in bed and was able to go gambling.

At 9 p.m., Kim, Kroy and Brielle estimated they had 11 hours before they needed to get back into the RV and start driving to their next destination: the Grand Canyon.

At 2 a.m., they were playing craps and somehow winning $875 through sheer luck, as they had never played the game before.

‘We should just move to Vegas,’ Kim told Kroy, who rolled his eyes and said, ‘Oh my God.’

The next morning, they hadn’t slept and were still gambling with two minutes to get in the Planet Hollywood limos, which would ferry them back to their RV.

‘We did roulette, we did blackjack, slots, craps—I mean, we did it all, all night,’ Brielle told her sister Ariana, 17, who was slightly miffed she hadn’t been able to join them.

Kroy urged Kim to get going but she kept dropping more money in a slot machine.

‘You have a timer on me?’ she asked him in a confessional. ‘Like, I’m in heaven. If I can imagine what heaven is, this is a slice of it.’

‘But you would stay here forever,’ Kroy protested, laughing as he physically tried to drag Kim away from the slots. ‘The kids are in the car, baby!’

Kim said she didn’t know why she kept gambling, admitting that even when she did get a big jackpot, she kept going.

‘I think I’ve just realized it’s my therapy,’ she mused, to which Kroy replied, ‘Pretty sure no therapist schedules eight-hour blocks for one person.’

Kim was sour when Kroy insisted they leave for the Grand Canyon, but she knew that her luck had turned and it was time to go.

The family boarded their RV again and drove toward the Grand Canyon, bunking down in Flagstaff, Arizona, for the night.

It would be their last official stop before they reached Los Angeles and flew home for good.

Despite her carping, Kim had always wanted to see the Grand Canyon, and when she and her family finally arrived, she stood at the edge of its rim, awed by its majesty.

‘This is insane to me, dude,’ she told Ariana. ‘It’s the most beautiful thing I think I’ve ever seen, aside from my children.’

Brielle wanted to know if a rock formation within the canyon was a volcano, to which her mother said, ‘Just be pretty, honey.’

The Don’t Be Tardy one-hour season eight finale will air next week on Bravo.
