‘Pearl’s not well today,’ he revealed, as his cute daughter clung on to him.

‘But you know what will make her better? A Mentos, isn’t that right?’ he said as his daughter reached for the lolly in his hand.

The doting father then told her to ask for more Mentos lollies.

‘Pretty please, I’m cute,’ Pearly shyly replied, as instructed by her father.

Ben shares three children, son Freddy, six, and daughters Pearl, four, and Goldie, one, with his wife, Channel Seven journalist Jodie Speers.

He previously said he didn’t initially want the 2GB breakfast job, but that it was actually his wife Jodie who made the decision for him.

Ben told Stellar magazine in May that he’d turned down the role multiple times because he wasn’t sure whether it would be the best for his family.

‘I totally appreciate that the job itself is a spectacular one. But make no mistake, it’s not one I was chasing for family reasons. I just wasn’t,’ he said.

‘I was concerned about the impact it would have on the family setup. And I suppose I just thought it would be easier not to. I think I said no about six times.’
