Sunrise host Samantha Armytage is left in SHOCK after live interview is abruptly shut down by fuming security guard

Monday’s instalment of Sunrise descended into chaos when Samantha Armytage’s live TV interview was abruptly shut down.

The host, 44, was interviewing the Restaurant and Catering Association Chief Executive, Wes Lambert, when a fuming security guard interrupted and asked him to ‘move off the property’.

A visibly stunned Samantha awkwardly responded: ‘Goodness me, there’s a very angry security guard walking around!’

‘Very angry security guard’: Monday’s instalment of Sunrise descended into chaos when Samantha Armytage’s live TV interview was abruptly shut down

The security guard could be heard in the background saying: ‘We just need everyone to walk off the property, please.’

Wes kept his composure as he confirmed to Samantha: ‘We’re being asked to move off the property.’

The guard then stood in front of Wes and completely blocked the whole live shot, which inevitably brought the interview to a premature end.

7News later confirmed that Sunrise had received permission to film for the segment at the location.

However, the security guard was not made aware of the information, leading to the awkward misunderstanding live on-air.

This comes after Samantha claimed she was ‘dumped’ by her agent Nick Fordham, just one day after the tragic death of her mother Libby.

According to The Daily Telegraph, Nick’s talent management group The Fordham Company ended their working relationship with the 44-year-old the day after her mother died on November 3rd.

The Sunrise host told the publication: ‘Out of the blue Nick dumped me from his management company the day after my mother died.’

‘As you can imagine, this has been a harrowing time for me. This hasn’t made it any easier.’

However, Fordham told Daily Mail Australia he was unaware Samantha’s mother had passed away when he contacted her on November 5th.

‘We have ended our business relationship but Sam has been a friend for many years and I have an incredible amount of respect for her, not only as a journalist but also as a person,’ he said.
