Ellen DeGeneres goes shopping in her new luxury $80K Land Rover Defender… after purchasing $49M estate in Montecito
Ellen de Generes took her new SUV for a spin on Monday as she picked up some purchases.
The 62-year-old talk show host was seen in her brand new Land Rover Defender 110, which retails for around $80,000, as she enjoyed a shopping spree in Montecito, California.
Ellen strolled with a pal as they made purchases at the Jenni Kayne Apparel & Home store and other home design stores, following reports that the comedian has just dropped $49 million on a new sprawling estate in the area.

Ellen and wife Portia de Rossi are said to have bought the property from Dennis Miller, 67, the SNL comedian and political commentator, and his wife, former model Carolyn Espley-Miller, 55, in late September.
The private deal makes the compound one of the priciest ever sold in the Santa Barbara County area, The Wall Street Journal reported.
DeGeneres and de Rossi’s reported new home is spread over 4.3 acres and features a 9,000 sq ft South African Cape Dutch-style main building, a guesthouse, a pool-house, a detached garage and a barn designed by acclaimed architect Tom Kundig.

All five of the structures encircle a large lily pond, complete with a rowboat and stocked with fish as well as an infinity-edged swimming pool that overlooks the pond.
Former owner Miller and his wife Espley-Miller have lived on the estate since buying it for $11 million in 2006.
DeGeneres and de Rossi are longtime property owners in the upscale neighborhood and have a reputation for moving frequently, having recently sold their Balinese-style five-bed, 10,674 sq ft home for $33.3 million. They bought it two years ago for $27 million.
DeGeneres – worth an estimated $370 million – is swiftly gaining notoriety as a property mogul in southern California, flipping mansions to billionaires and celebrities.
The buyer of her former home remains hidden on public documents, having purchased the property on November 6 using a company incorporated just two days earlier.
