New Jersey-based rapper Tripple Beanz was walking to his SUV in Newark on Friday when he was confronted by two masked gunmen and shot dead execution-style in broad daylight.

The cold-blooded killing of the 29-year-old recording artist, born Corey Thompson, was caught on surveillance video, which shows his attackers fire multiple shots at the victim as he rolls on the ground.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Thompson was walking in the 300 block of Avon Avenue in Newark just before 1pm on Friday when he was fatally shot.

Thompson was pronounced dead from his injuries at the scene just 12 minute later.

As surveillance footage from the area shows, the rapper was about to get into his Range Rover when two masked gunmen jumped out of a grey SUV that was double-parked across the street and ran up to him with guns drawn.

Video shows the attackers fire multiple shots at Thompson, who collapses in the middle of the street and rolls over several times as his assailants continue shooting at him.

After firing what appears to be a final control shot to the head, the gunmen hop back into the grey SUV and speed away, leaving Thompson to bleed out in the road.

By Sunday, a makeshift memorial has sprung up near the spot where Thompson died, according to CBS New York.

As of Tuesday morning, no arrests have been announced in connection to Thompson’s killing.
