Gwyneth Paltrow shares EPIC collage of throwback images in sweet birthday post for BFF Mary Wigmore: ‘My dearest, oldest’
She may have ended up being an A-list actress, author and businesswoman.
But Gwyneth Paltrow hasn’t forgotten about the people she grew up with.
The 48-year-old star took to Instagram on Wednesday to share an epic throwback collage for the birthday of her best friend Mary Wigmore.

She captioned it to her 7.4million followers: ‘Happy birthday @electricminky my dearest, oldest. [intertwined hearts emoji]’
As the two have been friends since the first day of elementary school, there were a several snaps including them on the soccer team.
They even seemed close enough to had vacationed together as kids as there were snaps of the two of them posing while adventuring in a forest.
The two remained close throughout high school as there were quite a few photos of them in their teens.

Back in January 2011, Gwyneth touched on her relationship with Mary and other lifelong friends and how it has had such a positive effect on her life.
She told The Sun at the time: ‘It has helped my life and attitude that I’ve had the same friends for most ofmy life. I met one, Mary Wigmore, on the first day of kindergarten, agedfour, and three or four others I met at the age of five.
‘We have been very close throughout and have all heard each other’s stories about growing up.
‘The laughter between us has been the most important thing, at any age.’

Mary is a success in Hollywood in her own right as she starred in Shallow Hal and The Royal Tenenbaums.
She has since moved on to directing as she directed a season 9 episode of American Horror Story – titled Slashdance – in 2019 in addition to an episode of 9-1-1 that same year.
Mary also seems to have a good working relationship with Gwyneth’s ex Chris Martin as she has directed several music videos for his band Coldplay including 2014’s Midnight. 2006’s The Hardest Part, as well as the lyric video for Hypnotised in 2017.
Wigmore is also a contributor for Gwyneth’s wellness and lifestyle brand and company, Goop, and has written a few articles for the website.
