Kate Ferdinand shows off her baby bump as she looks back at some of her favourite pregnancy outfits

She announced she was expecting her first child with husband Rio back in June.

And Kate Ferdinand looked back at her pregnancy over the past couple of months on Instagram on Thursday, sharing a slew of snaps of some of her favourite maternity outfits.

While the former TOWIE star, 29, showcased her baby in an array of swimwear, glamorous dresses and plush coats, Kate was quick to assure her followers she ‘looked nothing like this right now’. 

In one photo montage, Kate showed off her growing pregnancy curves, first in a lime green bikini and sarong, then patterned beachwear with a plunging top and also a peach two-piece. 

The television personality said she found it ‘crazy how much her body had changed’, as one photo showed Kate heavily pregnant in a black dress for Rio’s 42nd birthday this month, while in another she cradled her bump in a red dress in the earlier stages of her pregnancy. 

Kate wrote: ‘Some of my favourite pregnancy looks… so glad I took all of these pictures to look back at, at the time In most of these I didn’t always feel great but looking back at pictures I always feel differently. 

‘It’s crazy how much our bodies change when we are growing a little human. I thought I would absolutely hate getting dressed whilst pregnant but looking back I’ve quite enjoyed dressing my bump and trying new looks. 

‘I’ve also realised looking back I like to hold my bump A LOT. 

‘Now I’m pretty sure there will be no more looks like this (I could be wrong) but right now putting make up on and doing my hair is the last thing on my to-do list, not sure if this is a pregnancy or a general lock down feeling.

‘So for now leggings , T-shirt’s and no make up it is.’

Kate also added a comment: ‘Just to clarify I look nothing like this right now.’ 

 

It comes after Kate defended herself after being criticised by an Instagram follower for calling her step children ‘family’ on Wednesday. Rio had Tia, nine, Tate, 12, and Lorenz, 14, with his late wife Rebecca, who tragically passed away in 2015.

She posted an idyllic photo of one of her ‘favourite days of the year’ during a family holiday, but her use of the word ‘family’ prompted a critical comment.  

Showing the mum-to-be swimming in the sea, Kate captioned the photo: ‘One of my favourite days of this year, out at sea with the family …. no worries, happy & stress free’.

Thousands of fans commented positively on the post, but one troll chose to pick on Kate’s use of words.  

‘Ooof. Rebeccas family. I’m all for stepmoms etc. And you’ve stepped into a massive hole. But those kids are Rebeccas. And they’ll not thank you for saying otherwise xx.’ the follower wrote. 

‘Apart from that you are a lovely lovely girl. But, those wedding letters to ‘your’ kids was terrible. Imagine if you were her looking down, or her mum n dad… not cool. Xx’
