I’m A Celebrity UK: Jessica Plummer hints fans WILL see her strip off in the shower

I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here star Jessica Plummer has hinted she might still strip off for the iconic ‘jungle shower’ despite the freezing temperatures.

Speaking to MailOnline ahead of the new series, the ex-EastEnders star, 28, said bosses have asked her to pack swimwear when she heads into Gwrych Castle this weekend, meaning fans might still get their fix of shower action.

Jessica also revealed that this will be the longest amount of time she’s spent away from her daughter Noa, four, so she has pre-recorded messages for her absence.

She’s brave! I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Here star Jessica Plummer, 28, has hinted she might still strip off for the iconic ‘jungle shower’ despite the freezing temperatures

Asked whether she will still be part of one of the show’s famous shower scenes despite the freezing weather, Jessica said: ‘ So we’ve been told the only things we’re bringing from home are four sets of underwear and four sets of swimwear.

‘I know absolutely nothing, but I hope it’s not a Welsh waterfall! I’m hoping there’s some sort of heat in it but I have absolutely no idea. All I know if they’ve told us to bring them.

‘Hopefully there will be warm water! I’m sure it will be challenge-related but I have absolutely no idea.’

The shower scenes have long been a staple in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, with presenter Myleene Klass making headlines nationwide when she bathed in a now-iconic white bikini.

This year will see ten celebrities move into the Welsh castle after travelling to Australia became impossible in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jessica is known to many for her role as Chantelle Atkins on EastEnders, but she left the soap in September when her character was murdered by her abusive husband Gray after months of being verbally and physically tormented.

The soap star also told MailOnline that as it’s possible she could be living in the castle for three weeks if she reaches the end of the series, it will be the longest amount of time she’s spent away from her daughter.

She said: ‘It’s strange, the closer I get to it the more excited I am to do the show but the more daunting it is to think I’m not going to see her for more than three weeks which is heartbreaking because currently the longest I’ve not seen her is four days.

‘She’s my little girl. It’s gonna be really weird but I hope I just make her proud. Hopefully if it’s been pre-recorded and OK for her to watch she can watch me.

‘I recorded messages for her just like ”good morning,” literally I’ve pre-recorded up to three weeks just in case I’m there for the long haul so at least she’ll see me everyday.

‘She’ll be around family so I know she’s going to be absolutely fine but it will be strange for sure.’

Despite openly admitting she dislikes the cold and a majority of insects, Jessica added she’s determined to stick out the Bushtucker Trials even if they put her through hell.

She added: ‘I have loads of fears but I’m so competitive with myself, even if I am up I won’t mind because I want to face my fears… I’m not going to be somebody who who says I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! and comes back with no stars.

‘I know it’s easier said then done. I’m really competitive with myself and I don’t quit easily.’

Despite hoping she’ll get on with the rest of the campmates, Jessica also confessed she doesn’t sleep easily and will probably grow tired of stars who snore.

The Geordie duo, the contestants and crew will be tested for COVID-19 every three days throughout the series, with the campmates able to mix freely while they live in the camp as they form their own bubble.
