Sonia Kruger left red-faced after making hilarious X-rated gaffe on live TV

Sonia Kruger left the Channel Seven studio in hysterics on Tuesday after she made an X-rated gaffe live on-air.

During a chat on The Morning Show, the 55-year-old was sweetly praising her hairdresser sister, Debbie, who styled her locks for her when she was in Queensland hosting the network’s new show, Holey Moley.

But in a hilarious error, Sonia mixed up the words ‘blow dry’ with ‘job’ – leaving the co-hosts Kylie Gillies and Larry Emdur in fits of laughter.

‘My sister’s a hairdresser, so if you’re looking for a good blow job… blow wave,’ she quickly corrected, before smirking and realising her choice of words.

Host Larry raised his hand in the air in shock, while his co-host Kylie couldn’t help but giggle as Sonia rapidly tried to recover.

‘It’s down the Gold Coast,’ Sonia said, her face and neck turning completely red in horror, as crew in the studio continued to laugh in the background.

‘Lucky we’re not live, they’ll probably cut that out!’ Larry joked.

‘In America they call it a blow out. I think that’s what I just had, a blow out!’ Sonia added, placing her hands together as she tried to move on.

‘I tell you what,’ Larry laughed. ‘Your sister’s just been booked out for months!’ 

Sonia has always had a close relationship with her family, and shared a behind-the-scenes snap from the set of Holey Moley with her sibling last month.

In the photo, her sister Deb was seen sprucing up Sonia’s sassy ponytail as she waited to return to filming.

She wrote in the caption alongside the photo: ‘Sister Act! Deb Kruger @hairaffairburleigh on @holeymoleytv Hair duty’.
