‘We miss you too darling. 16 days hopefully and counting,’ Candice, who also shares 16-month-old Isla Rose with David, replied to his post.

His heart-warming post comes after Candice was kidnapped and bound while appearing on SAS Australia – one of the nation’s most gruelling TV shows.

During Tuesday’s episode of the military-style series, she was awoken with the other recruits by the sound of gunshots, and they were put through a dramatic emergency evacuation exercise.

After frantically dressing and leaving their base camp, Candice lagged behind the rest of the group, who were already nearing the evacuation site.

It proved to be a costly mistake for her as she was captured and bound by the show’s DS, who were posing as the enemy.

‘I’m not as strong or as fast as I used to be. But mentally I’m stronger, because of things that you achieved in your life and you’ve overcome,’ she acknowledged.

As the other recruits all descended upon their evacuation point, they performed a head count and quickly realised she was missing from the group.
