Maria Shriver celebrates Biden-Harris win with some of her children and actor Rob Lowe in Montecito

Maria Shriver has many reasons to rejoice and be thankful this week.

The famed journalist, and niece to President John F. Kennedy, is in celebratory mode in the wake of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris being declared winners of the 2020 presidential election.

And on Sunday, two days after ringing-in her 65th birthday, Shriver spent some quality time in Montecito, California with daughter Christina Schwarzenegger, son Patrick Schwarzenegger and his girlfriend Abby Champion, and famed actor Rob Lowe.

Celebrate good times: Maria Shriver continued her celebration of the Biden-Harris Democratic ticket winning the 2020 presidential election with family in Montecito, California, which is about 83 miles north of Los Angeles

Shriver was spotted carrying two bags while on a shopping excursion, just east of the city of Santa Barbara, about 83 miles north from Los Angeles.

Showing her patriotic pride, she wore shoes that spelled out ‘vote’ along the top with fitted black pants and a matching top.

The Illinois native also donned a stylish red duster coat and had her long brown tresses pulled back off her face, with the exception of her bangs, which were pulled back off her face.

Patrick Schwarzenegger, 27, looked casual-cool in black pants with a white t-shirt brown jacket and white sneakers, while his ladylove donned an all-black ensemble.

Comforting: Shriver shared words of wisdom in another Sunday Evening Reminder

By the early evening, Shriver shared another Sunday Evening Reminder where she asked people to think of the ‘new week coming’ and to ‘open your eyes to all of its possibilities and all of yours.’

She appeared to make a reference to the Democrats winning the White House, along with some other words of wisdom and comfort, in the caption.

‘This week, we all came face to face with what is. What will become depends on what we’re willing to give up in order to become who we can be. What you seek is seeking you. Don’t let your fears stand in the way of your hopes, and don’t let your prejudices stand in the way of what you know to be true. Head into this week with compassion, grace, and the ability to listen and learn. #sundayeveningreminder’

Shriver also shared about her recent birthday on November 6, and this past year ‘that didn’t go to plan.’

That led to more comforting words of encouragement that included wishing for ‘you to discover what you can be.’

‘My hope is that you discover what you are seeking. I hope it doesn’t take you as long as it took me. You are so worth being loved, accepted, and seen,’ she added.
