Kim Kardashian says the ‘future looks bright’ after Kanye West is defeated in presidential election

Kim Kardashian revealed she is optimistic about the future, one day after Donald Trump was defeated by his Democratic challenger, President-elect Joe Biden.

Despite her husband Kanye West capturing only 60,000 votes out of an estimated total of 160 million, the reality star seemed more than content about the results. 

‘Our future looks bright,’ the mother-of-four, 40, captioned a solo shot of herself in a plunging leather vest and burgundy alligator skirt with a curve-hugging silhouette.

As she sat down before participating in a photo shoot or virtual conference, she posed with one hand on her hip and her dark tresses in a single waist-length braid.   

In the snap, the KKW Beauty founder put on a very busty display, while smoldering into the camera with her glossy pout slightly agape.  

While the aspiring lawyer tweeted her support for the incoming presidential administration on Saturday, she previously praised Trump’s prison reform policies.

During a recent appearance on David Letterman’s Netflix series, My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, she refused to say anything negative about Trump even as Letterman repeatedly questioned her on politics. 

She did, however, reveal friends and family warned her not to step foot in the White House because they feared her reputation would be ruined.

In response, she said she responded that she knew she had ‘to step foot in there or these people’s lives don’t have a chance.’

In result result, Kim’s advocacy pushed Trump to commute the life sentence of Alice Johnson, who had spent more than two decades serving life without parole for a nonviolent drug offense. 

‘Hopefully, for the next multiple administrations, I’ll be working with the White House, helping them with clemencies,’ she noted. 

Despite being repeatedly grilled on her relationship with Trump, Kardashian would only say that she is ‘extremely grateful’ for the work of the Trump administration regarding criminal justice reform.

Elsewhere in the interview, Karadashian refused to say who she was voting for.

‘I know who I’m voting for,’ she said without elaborating further.

Her post also comes after her rapper husband conceded defeat in the 2020 US presidential election on Tuesday.

According to the Associated Press, West appeared on the ballot in 12 states, where thousands of people voted for him. 

Karadashian gave no public endorsements of her husband, but retweeted a message about voter hot lines from Democratic vice presidential contender Kamala Harris. 

West, once one of Trump’s biggest celebrity supporters, launched his campaign for the White House in July with erratic statements that raised concerns over his mental health.
