The appearance comes after Jackson told Daily Mail about his stint on SAS Australia.

He told Daily Mail Australia that comedian and radio host Merrick Watts, 46, really impressed him while on the show, with his determination and leadership skills.

‘Someone who I’d say really impressed me was probably Merrick,’ Jackson said.

‘He’s 46 and so far out of his comfort zone, and for him to constantly support everyone, take control, give advice or be someone to speak to, look up to, to chat to, he was always there.’

Jackson added that not only did Merrick provide emotional support for the team, but he also pulled his weight during the physical challenges.

‘He was always at the front in all the physical parts as well and super switched on when it came to the guns and military-style tasks,’ Jackson said.

The son of cricket legend Shane Warne also spoke about the show’s villain, Firass Dirani, saying the actor wasn’t as bad as some viewers might think.

In fact, he said he was ‘good mates’ with the Underbelly star, adding that Firass helped him out on several occasions – but these moments weren’t shown on TV.

‘I’m getting along really well with Firass,’ Jackson explained.

‘On the course, we were pretty good mates, he helped me pack my bag. When we were chatting he was fine, we got to know each other really well.’

He added: ‘He helped motivate me, helped keep me warm when I was wet. But I can see why people get frustrated.’

Firass has been portrayed as the troublemaker on SAS Australia, with his bratty behaviour often resulting in group punishments.

SAS Australia continues Monday from 7:30pm on Channel Seven
