Britney Spears reassures fans she is the ‘happiest’ she’s ever been after 13 day social media break

Britney Spears returned to Instagram on Monday after taking a 13 day break from the social media platform.

The pop star, 38, uploaded a brief clip addressing her absence and insisted that she is doing ‘fine’ and currently the ‘happiest’ she has ever been.

‘So, I know there have been a lot of comments and a lot of people saying a lot of different things about me, but I just want to let you guys know that I am fine,’ said Spears. 

The Toxic singer donned a white cropped peasant blouse that hung off her shoulders and her favorite pair of kaki shorts.

Her bangs were partially swept away from her face, while the rest of her hair flowed down her chest in soft tendrils. 

‘I’m the happiest I’ve ever been in my life and I am sending you guys a lot of prayers, wishes, and a lot of love,’ she concluded.

Shortly after sharing her clip, Britney uploaded two selfies and admitted that one of them ‘was taken over the weekend,’ while the other ‘was a shot [she] took 3 months ago that [she hadn’t] shared yet.’ 

Her most recent self-portrait was gave fans an up close and personal view of the Lucky songstress, while the later shot showcased her ample assets.

Spears last posted to her Instagram page on October 19, which happened to be a few selfies and a video of herself dancing to Madonna’s 1990 track Justify My Love. 

Despite attempting to provide them with some reassurance, Britney’s 26.7million followers had a mixed reaction to Monday’s video, with many of the comments stating that they ‘don’t buy’ that she is ‘fine.’

‘If you have to tell people you’re fine and you look like this, you’re not fine,” wrote one concerned fan in her comment section. 

Another said that, from their perspective, Britney looked ‘terrified’ in the video, possibly referencing to the singer’s wide-eyed expressions.

‘I love you Britney, but you don’t look happy, you look more exhausted, I hope I am wrong,’ read one sympathetic comment. 

The collective concern stems from Spears’ ongoing legal battle with her father Jamie, 68.

She’s been under a conservatorship since 2008, giving her father total legal and financial control over her life. 

The #FreeBritney movement picked up traction last January, as rumors and conspiracy theories surfaced, claiming that her father was abusing his power in the role.

Directly referencing to the conservatorship battle, one follower wrote: ‘Get your freedom babe.’

While many did not find comfort in Britney’s Instagram upload on Monday, some fans chose to flood her comment section with love, even remarking on how ‘good’ she looked.

‘You’re lookin good Britt. We love you,’ wrote one thoughtful commenter, which happened to be a statement mirrored by several others. 

Clearly having missed sharing her life at home with her fans, Britney also decided to post a video of herself dancing up a storm in her spacious living room. 

‘Dancing is such a vulnerable thing !!!!’ gushed the star, who had her toned tummy on display in a black sports bra and a pair of patterned pajama shorts.

In her post’s caption, Spears wrote about how ‘performing for thousands of people is a cool feeling,’ but that she ‘also find joy in dancing for myself !!!!!’  

‘The language of dance is really beautiful ⭐️ !!!! You say so much without saying a word … using your body to express the way you feel !!!! Live and express your body any way you want !!!!!!!’ she concluded.

Britney’s sudden disappearance from social media nearly two-weeks ago occurred shortly after she had landed a small victory in her conservatorship case.

At the time, court papers revealed that the judge proceeding over the case granted her petition request to expand her legal team.

Just before the hearing, father Jamie’s lawyer Geraldine Wyle attempted to block the request, noting in documents that her dad is attempting to come to an agreement with Bessemer Trust Company, whom Britney wants to be her sole conservator.

According to court papers, the father-of-three is not opposed to the trust company, so long as they serve as a co-conservator with him.

Wyle stated that they ‘continue to make progress in reaching a concrete and workable understanding with regard to fees and the structure of the ongoing estate administration.’

Britney’s lawyers previously stated that she does not agree with her dad’s ‘vision of a future in which she resumes performing and leaves the management of her estate completely to him as she did in the past.’
