Shayna Jack breaks down during a tense interrogation on SAS Australia as she reveals her ‘living nightmare’ after facing drug cheat allegations
SAS Australia recruit Shayna Jack will discuss her infamous doping scandal during a tense interrogation scene with Ant Middleton this week.
The banned swimmer, 21, was at the centre of doping allegations last year after testing positive for the banned muscle-enhancing substance Ligandrol.
During the upcoming interrogation, Shayna will break down in tears as she reveals the emotional struggles she’s faced in the wake of her drug scandal.

‘They called up the head coach and that was it, I got sent home, they gave me four years ban from swimming which would be the end of my career,’ Shayna recalled, describing the ordeal as a ‘living nightmare’.
Shayna, who has routinely protested her innocence and denied knowingly taking the drug, insisted she’s been an ‘honest athlete’ her whole life.
‘The one thing that hurts me more than anything to my core is that, yes, I have had a dream to represent my country at the Olympics since I was 10, but it’s more the fact that I’ve always done the right thing by my sport and country,’ she lamented.

‘I can’t see my coach, I cant just go for a swim with my squad, I can’t go and play another sport just for fun,’ Shayna continued, adding that she ‘just wants to be able to go back to swimming’.
‘Sometimes I forget how strong I am and it does get to me a fair bit,’ she added.
Interestingly, Ant revealed he ‘believes every single thing’ Shayna was saying about her innocence.

It comes after Shayna spoke to Stellar magazine in September about the ‘draining and horrible’ process she went through during the scandal last year.
The blonde said she still dreams of being able to swim in the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, and will always stand up for what is right and ‘speak the truth’.
‘It has been a difficult and long process, but one thing has never changed for me from day one: I have never bought, possessed, been supplied with or used prohibited substances in any way,’ she told the publication.

In December last year, Shayna told The Sunday Project that contamination could be reason she tested positive for Ligandrol.
‘There was a case in the past called the ‘kiss cocaine case’ where someone had taken cocaine and then the partner, who was an athlete, kissed that person and they were contaminated because they had contact with something someone else had taken,’ she told host Lisa Wilkinson.
That may have been a reference to Canadian pole vaulter Shawn Barber – who was allowed to compete at the Rio Olympics despite testing positive for cocaine.

He avoided a two-year suspension after claiming successfully the drug was passed on to him when he kissed a woman he met on Craigslist.
Shayna is provisionally suspended, and has been for approximately 16 months. Her case is currently pending and her hearing has not yet taken place, but the exact date will not be released to the public.
