Imogen Anthony reflects on her ‘rollercoaster’ year since split from Kyle Sandilands 

It has been a year since Imogen Anthony and Kyle Sandilands publicly ended their eight-year relationship. 

And Imogen, 29, marked the sad occasion on Friday night by sharing an emotional Instagram essay about the emotional turmoil that followed her painful split from the KIIS FM shock jock, 49. 

‘My relationship had already broken down prior to going to LA, tried to keep everything private, but with threats of everything coming undone, and looking further like a d*ckhead, it all happened at once,’ Imogen shared with her Instagram followers in a post on Friday.

Posting a photo of herself in a red crop top, matching leggings and a cowboy hat, the blonde explained that she’d found it difficult to get into the Halloween spirit this year thanks to the memories of her breakup. 

‘I am still celebrating my favourite time of the year, i would never not. But truth be told, last Halloween sucked for me,’ she confessed. 

‘My relationship had already broken down prior to going to LA, tried to keep everything private, but with threats of everything coming undone, and looking further like a d**khead, it all happened at once,’ she continued. 

‘Part of me was having fun in LA, but I was broken at the same time. Holding every piece of myself together, literally, until I eventually broke,’ Imogen confessed, adding that it was the ‘public and media’s input which made things worse’. 

The glamour model went on to describe 2020 as ‘an absolute a**hole’ of a year, but noted that ‘amazing things have come out of it’. 

‘It has been a roller coaster but i am on the other side and alive, with all my animals, and sanity included,’ Imogen – who lives on the hobby farm she once shared with Kyle – added.  

Kyle announced his split from Imogen on The Kyle and Jackie O Show last November, telling shocked listeners the couple ‘hadn’t been living with each other’ for quite some time.

‘We haven’t been with each other for quite a few months now. Unfortunately it’s run its course,’ he said. 

Kyle then started dating his personal assistant and the director of communications for King Kyle Pty Ltd, Tegan Kynaston, 34.

Despite initially denying claims they were dating, their relationship was confirmed in January when Tegan shared a picture of herself kissing Kyle on the cheek in front of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
