Lisa filmed herself leaving the hospital after the appointment, explaining how she had felt ‘petrified’ ahead of the colposcopy – which is a procedure used to look at the cervix, the lower part of the womb at the top of the vagina – but that it was a ‘quick and easy’ process.

Clad in a face mask, she was tearful as she spoke to the camera, revealing also that her mother currently has terminal cervical cancer.

In March, Lisa took to Instagram to tell her followers that she’d been asked to quarantine because she was at ‘high risk’ of contracting coronavirus.

She hadn’t been diagnosed with Covid-19, but said she had been told to stay at home for 14 days and avoid contact with friends and family.

The singer was pictured breaking this period of self-isolation after eight days when she stepped out to go to the hairdressers.

During her time in the So Solid Crew, the singer had five top 20 hits, including 21 Seconds, and a platinum-selling album.

She then released a further two top 10 singles as a solo artist and an award-winning album.

Lisa starred on the Channel 4 reality TV show The Games in 2004 and, moving away from the limelight, she then set up her own record label called Maffia Recordz.

The singer rejoined So Solid Crew in January 2010 with single Since You Went Away, which reached the top 10 in the independent singles chart.

In 2019, she moved away from music and played Ghost in Fredi Nwaka’s Are We Dead Yet. She has since opened a hair and beauty parlour in Margate, Kent.
