SAS Australia: Jackson Warne names the 10 foods he’s eaten his whole life

Jackson Warne left viewers gobsmacked on Tuesday after admitting he’d only tried ‘like, 10 different foods’ in his entire life.

And the 21-year-old has now finally answered the question on everyone’s lips – what exactly does he eat?

‘Eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, burgers, nachos, chips, apples … that’s about it,’ he told News Corp on Wednesday when asked to name the foods he’s tried.

The son of cricket star Shane Warne went on to reveal his typical daily food regimen, which starts with ‘eggs, bacon and an oat shake’ for breakfast.

After going to the gym, Jackson said he feasts on ‘two burgers and a protein shake’ before tucking into pasta or lasagne for dinner.

‘It’s not like I don’t want to try other foods, it’s just that I enjoy what I’m eating and it works for me,’ Jackson said.

While filming SAS Australia, Jackson had the opportunity to eat a variety of foods he’d never tried before, including sushi, pineapple, rockmelon, mandarins and even steak.

Thanks to his gustatory experience on SAS Australia, Jackson says he is now slowly attempting to broaden his diet at home.

‘My sister Brooke, she’s living with me at the moment and she’s a really good cook so all the food she’s been having, I’ve been having a little nibble on,’ he said.

Jackson made his extraordinary diet revelation on Tuesday’s episode of SAS Australia when his co-stars noticed that he seemed confused by his tomato soup.

‘Do you know what it is, Jackson?’ asked Schapelle Corby, to which he responded, ‘The food? Soup.’

The convicted drug smuggler, 43, explained that it was tomato soup, and Jackson asked her if it was ‘good’.

‘I’ve never had it. I’ve only had, like, 10 different foods before,’ he admitted.

A stunned Schapelle asked him whether he followed some sort of special diet.

‘No, I’ve just always had the same thing, since I was young,’ he continued.

‘Oh, you don’t like to experience new foods! Oh! This is huge for you then,’ said Schapelle.

As he sat down to eat, Jackson confessed that the soup tasted like ‘tinned spaghetti sauce’.

He seemed to enjoy it, holding his tin bowl up to his mouth as he scooped out every last bit with his spoon.

‘You’re broadening your horizons at a rate of knots,’ said one of his fellow recruits.

Jackson added: ‘I’ve tasted more foods the past two days than in my whole life.’
