Roxy Jacenko sets the record straight on why she quit SAS Australia early – but insists viewers will be ‘shocked’ by what she accomplished during her short stint

Roxy Jacenko has rubbished rumours she quit Channel Seven reality show SAS Australia just days into filming due to a ‘lack of comforts’ on-set.

Speaking to photographers outside a Sydney hospital last month, the PR guru, 40, explained that she actually threw in the towel due to injuries she’d sustained from a horse riding accident weeks before taking part in the show.

‘It definitely wasn’t a lack of creature comforts,’ Roxy said, holding a large X-ray in her hand.

Setting the record straight! Roxy Jacenko, 40, (pictured) has rubbished rumours she quit Channel Seven reality show SAS Australia just days into filming due to a ‘lack of comforts’ on-set

‘I take my hat off to those who are in the SAS in the army, but for me, obviously I had a bit accident prior to going. And I’ve always been of the mindset [that] you get up and you show up no matter what. So that’s what I did,’ she declared.

‘I participated, and think people are going to be quite shocked at what they see me do. I’m still shocked!’ the blonde slyly grinned.

Roxy, who spoke to photographers outside a Sydney hospital while holding a new X-ray in her hand, explained that she’d fractured her hip and pelvis just six weeks before arriving at SAS Australia’s Snowy Mountains set.

Filming for SAS Australia began earlier this year in Queenstown, New Zealand, but production was relocated to the NSW Snowy Mountains due to travel restrictions being enforced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Starring alongside Roxy is convicted drug smuggler Schapelle Corby, comedian Merrick Watts and ex-WAG Arabella Del Busso.
