Teddi Mellencamp says her seven-month-old daughter Dove is ‘doing great’ as she continues to recover from neurosurgery that took place at the end of July.

The former Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills castmate, 39, gave everyone an update while sitting down for Us Weekly’s YouTube series Moms Like Us with host Christina Garibaldi and Stroller in the City’s Brianne Manz.

Teddi said she was in awe of how strong her little girl was, remarking how ‘Babies are so resilient.’

Healing: Teddi Mellencamp says her seven-month-old daughter Dove is ‘doing great’ as she continues to recover from neurosurgery that took place at the end of July

Mellencamp revealed that her baby girl was diagnosed with lambdoid craniosynostosis, a rare condition that affects the skull, back on July 6th.

Dove underwent brain surgery July 30th and has been recovering since.

‘She’s doing great. She’s wearing the DOC band, which is the helmet,’ Teddi said.

It’s been a process, however, as the mother-of-three explained: ‘The first couple of days, it’s always a little rough ’cause they have to get used to [it on their] skin and it’s hot, but she’s doing great.’

And while Dove has been thriving, Mellencamp admitted she was nervous at first.

‘Babies are so resilient. It was so hard leading up to it,’ she said.

‘If myself or my husband [were] going through that, what would [we] have been like? She just wanted to be held and loved and you know, she pushed. Such a fighter.’

Teddi went on to say how thankful she was to have detected Dove’s condition early.

‘I’m glad we caught it when we did because had we not, we’d be in an even tougher situation,’ she added.
